Jute Rugs

Jute rugs are produced from jute plant fibre and natural dyes. Best jute rugs come from hot and humid regions of Asia. There are producers that have been specializing on manufacturing jute rugs for decades in Bangladesh and India. Yarn used for jute rugs is firm and durable. Their surface characteristics are not so high and the jute rugs come out with rough and uneven.

Jute rugs are not for use with direct skin contact but they perfectly serve as floor or throw rugs. When exposed to large amounts of moisture for a long time jute rugs can eventually deteriorate and the structure can crack into smaller parts.

That is why, jute rugs are best for the indoor use. Jute rugs can look effectively when placed in the kitchens and halls in combination with other rugs. A set of big and small jute rugs of various shapes can produce a marvelous impact on the outlook of your balcony or verandah.
